MEDIUM CHAIN TRIGLYCERIDES ‘MCT’ C8 AND C10 LAURIC ACID
• Medella MCT Oil is derived purely from coconut oil and contains a mix of 57% Caprylic (C8) and 43% Capric (C10) fatty acids with only trace amounts of lauric acid; a pure form for MCT Oil compared to other conventional MCT Oil products.
• MCTs are extracted from coconut oil to manufacture baby’s formula milk because it is an important component for the development of the baby’s immune system.
• MCTs are routinely added to commercial and hospital infant formulas aid the absorption of fat soluble nutrients in newborns whose digestive systems are still developing or those suffering from malabsorption.
